Awesome fork, I wanted the best fork at a relatively low travel for my Norco trail bike and this fit the bill. The fork it replaced is an old RockShox Revelation, I found this one to be a lot better because of the adjustment, and dampening system. I could easily switch between the 3 modes for downhill, flat ground, and uphill. This is also much better at absorbing bumps, I don't know how to describe it, but it's just better. SR Suntour also reduced the travel for me, which was awesome!
TLDR: Maybe not worth the full $700 but for $300 after discounts, it's a hell of a fork.
So I previously purchased the Aion 35 and I really enjoyed the travel adjustment, the feel and its reliability. So with the current sale, I couldn’t pass up the Aion 36. In retrospect, I’d probably would’ve gone for the Durolox 36 instead but this fork is still pretty amazing. It’s very stiff, strong and looks good.
I upgraded my XCR to this fork AION36, huge upgrade. I ride in Colorado Springs area, and this fork will make me happy!
This has been a great fork. It's performed consistently, It's reliable, and its easy to service. Love this product and will def be purchasing other SR Suntour suspension products as my stable grows.
I really like SR Suntour. Whenever I need new or replacement on my personal bikes it's where I try to go.
A little heavier than each models competition but cost, buttery smooth,easy tubing and easy serviceability. Will continue to use it for years to come
